Easy Snack Recipes
Raise your hand if you love quick and easy recipes that are literally ready in minutes! This Easy Layered Greek Dip just might be your new favorite. We’re hooked over here, and I think you will be too! We’ve been making this recipe for a great afternoon snack, sharing a snack and laughs around the kitchen counter as a family. But it’s the perfect recipe for any occasion, whether you’re putting it together for a party or just serving it up for a family afternoon of fun. I’m so excited to share this one with you!
If you’re an olive lover, this is definitely the recipe for you! Pairing olives with tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions brings together the perfect combination of flavors. Did you know that California actually produces over 95 percent of the olives grown in the entire United States?! Taking a drive through the olive groves is seriously one of my favorite things to do living in California. It smells so good! There are hundreds of families devoted to farming California Ripe Olives that have been in the business for generation after generation, and all of the olives grown in California are canned by the two olive canneries in California, both of which are multi-generational family businesses. Considering how much I LOVE to eat olives, whether on their own, in salads, or in a layered dip recipe, I’m sure thankful for their hard work!
Layered Greek Dip Ingredients
To get started, you’ll need 3 packages of softened cream cheese, 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning, 3 cloves of garlic all minced up, 3 cups of your favorite hummus, 1 ½ cups of fresh diced cucumber, 1 ½ cups of fresh diced tomatoes, ½ cup of diced California Grown black olives, ½ cup of diced California Grown green olives, 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese, ¼ cup of sliced red onions, and your favorite pita chips for serving. This recipe is all about the easy-to-grab ingredients!
How to Make Greek Dip
Let’s get this Greek Dip party started! First, start by adding your softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, and minced garlic together into a bowl. Use a hand mixer to mix it all up! Then, spread a thin layer of your mixture on a platter of your choice to start the first layer.
Once you have your first layer going, it’s time to add the hummus! Spread a thin layer of hummus on top of the cream cheese mixture. Now, it’s time to add all of the veggies! Add your cucumbers and tomatoes on top of your cream cheese and hummus layers. Next up, add your California Grown black and green olives. Finish off the layered dip with your crumbled feta cheese and diced red onion. So many layers of great flavor!
How to Serve Layered Greek Dip
Once your dip is all put together, place it in the refrigerator for an hour. Once you’re ready to serve, pull out the platter, and arrange your favorite pita chips around the dip. This is such a great chip to serve with your dip, or you could even do a mixture of fresh pita bread triangles and pita chips.
