Welcome to the best season of the year! Can you believe it’s almost going to be Halloween? I have a countdown going to the 31st in my house, because I just love the holiday so much! Who’s with me?! I seriously have been in love with all things Halloween and the fall season my entire life, so whenever October comes around we have to go all out! The house has been decorated for a while already, we have been finding fun fall activities to do with the kids, and I have been making so many fun themed recipes. We always go hard for the holidays, and Halloween is no different because I seriously cannot get enough of fall! With a pumpkin spice latte in one hand, and a Halloween recipe in the other, I am ready for the season! ;) And this just might be my most favorite Halloween recipe I’ve shared with you yet!
Halloween Dessert Ideas
Even with Halloween looking a little different this year, we have been celebrating non-stop over here! I try to have a fun activity for the kids to do each week, like the Halloween scavenger egg hunt we had recently. I love being able to celebrate and make memories with the kids. Being able to look back at everything we did and smile is what it’s all about! And being able to celebrate the entire season, not just Halloween day, is so important to me because celebrating the entire month with the kids makes it so special to all of us. What better way to celebrate than to make some delicious and seriously cute desserts! That’s why I am super excited to share this Halloween recipe with you! Not only are these Halloween Spider Cookies delicious, but they are SUPER easy to make. This recipe is so fun and so special!
Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
Creating memorable treats for your family doesn’t have to be time-consuming. As long as the treat is made with love, they are already so special! That’s why I love these cookies so much. They can either be made with your favorite homemade peanut butter cookie recipe, or you can use store-bought peanut butter cookies. It’s all about whatever works best for you! Also, since they are so easy to make, you won’t be in the kitchen baking all afternoon. That way, you can go back to your Halloween festivities faster and make the most out of the day!
Ingredients for Halloween Spider Cookies
To make these easy Halloween Spider Cookies, you’ll need homemade or store-bought peanut butter cookies, mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, chocolate frosting, a piping bag, and candy googly eyes. That’s it! I seriously love it when a recipe doesn’t have many ingredients because it means it’s easy to make! This recipe is also perfect because you get to be creative, and you can have the kids help make their own spiders! The kids loved being able to help create the spiders and were so excited about how the cookies came out.
Instructions for Halloween Spider Cookies
Let’s get into the Halloween spirit! First, bake the cookies and set them out to cool. Place chocolate frosting in the piping bag and pipe a small amount of chocolate frosting in the center of the cookie. Then place an unwrapped Reese’s peanut butter cup on top of the frosting. Once the spider’s body is on, he’s ready for his legs!
How to Make Spider Cookies
Use the chocolate frosting to pipe 4 legs on each side of the spider’s body. Pipe two small dots on the front of the peanut butter cup. These small dots will act as the glue to help stick the googly eyes onto the body! Next, get two googly eyes and stick them onto the peanut butter cup. Once the eyes are on, these spider cookies are ready to be served! Seriously, these cookies are so good and SO cute! I’m already planning on making another batch!
Cute Decorated Cookies
Creating Halloween treats is so much fun! I love when recipes help celebrate a holiday and makes it feel that much more special! Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays, and I spend the entire month celebrating. Whether it’s going out and doing fall activities, or baking something fun in the house, being festive and celebrating as much as I can is my favorite! That’s why this recipe is one of my Halloween favorites. I love how decorative the cookies can be. They’d be the perfect addition to a Halloween party table, or just in your kitchen! The kids also love these cookies because they are SO good – the perfect mixture of chocolate and peanut butter. Do you have a gathering coming up that these cookies would be the perfect addition to?
