Success! My mom and I have created our first custom frosting recipe. As we were frustrated with reviews on a variety of strawberry buttercream recipes, we decided to take a leap of faith and create our own recipe. We found several different recipes on Google, but they made us too nervous. So we experimented in the kitchen like two scientist and it was pure success. Yes, this was how we spent our Saturday night.
We beat a fair amount of butter, (Paula Dean you would be oh-so proud), we added strawberry puree and vanilla extract and gradually added powdered sugar until we mastered the perfect flavor. The results were a cross between standard buttercream and meringue buttercream. Our strawberry buttercream was light and fluffy, yet fulfilled with intense strawberry flavor. We never realized 4 simple ingredients could make us so proud! We are ecstatic to be able to call this recipe our own!!! We plan to continue on creating more and more recipes. Our dream is to release our own dessert recipe book and what better way than to experiment trial and error with our readers.
Best Friends, we would be honored if you took the time out to try our first custom Strawberry Frosting recipe and let us know exactly what you think. Do you think we have what it takes to create a recipe book some day?
