The viral Dot Cakes got a Halloween makeover! These easy 3-ingredient Halloween Dot Cakes are made with chocolate cake, orange frosting, and Halloween sprinkles. Such a fun Halloween treat!

I Finally Made the Viral Dot Cakes!

Okay, these Dot Cakes have been ALL over my social media feeds, and my daughter has literally been asking me to make them ALL summer. So obviously, I waited until Halloween season and made them festive. 👻🎃🦇
Wait, What Are Dot Cakes?!
If you haven’t seen the viral Dot Cakes yet, they originally became popular at Butterfield Market in New York City. They’re basically layers of cake and frosting inside a cup with a thick layer of tiny nonpareil sprinkles covering the entire top.
So simple. So cute. And SO satisfying. Especially when you see ALL those sprinkles on top!
But you know me. The second I saw them, I immediately started thinking about how cute they would be for Halloween!
And because icon glasses are also SUPER popular right now, I felt like they BOTH needed their own moment.
Okay, But Where Are Those Halloween Cups From?!
I found these Halloween icon glasses that come in ghosts, bats, and pumpkins, and that was IT. Halloween Dot Cakes had to happen.

How to Make Halloween Dot Cakes
And the best part?! You only need 3 ingredients to make them! I used boxed chocolate cake mix, store-bought orange frosting, and Halloween sprinkles. No complicated decorating or fancy cake skills over here!
The chocolate cake with the bright orange frosting and all those tiny Halloween sprinkles are SO fun.
But honestly, I think the little Halloween icon cups are what really make them!
These would be such a cute whimsy Halloween dessert for a party, Halloween movie night, or just a fun surprise for the kids in October. If you’re looking for easy Halloween desserts that feel extra special without a lot of work, add these cuties to your list!
And don’t miss out on my cookbook, Celebrating Every Day! It’s literally filled with even more easy Halloween dessert ideas!

Welp, Claire FINALLY got her Dot Cake, and I got to turn it into a Halloween recipe. Basically, everybody wins! PS. These PSL pajamas are my favorite and soooo buttery soft!
Hope you guys have as much fun making these as I did! 🎃
