Pomegranate Brie Walnut Crostini
Pomegranate Brie Walnut Crostinis are seriously the most delicious piece of bread topped with melty cheese, walnuts, and pomegranate. What more could you ask for? These small bites are all dressed up for the holidays and make THE best appetizer, like ever! This is definitely a recipe that is perfect for those upcoming holiday get-togethers, and one that will make you the life of the party!
Perfect Party Appetizer
Our calendar is filling up with holiday parties and celebrations, and I am totally NOT complaining! When you work from home like me, your social life can maybe get a little bland at times. (Except for all of my Instagram friends, of course!) ;) There are a couple parties we RSVP’d to that requested we bring an appetizer this time around. Andy and I made a pact to really up our game in the kitchen and beta test some twists to our favorite recipes so that we could really show off something special. Anyone else make a recipe the day of the party and have it completely fail? Been there, done that, and that’s why I am getting the party started early over here. It’s way better to be prepared!
Best Bread from The Rustik Oven
Andy always makes the best brie cheese appetizer that has honey and walnuts on top. I wanted to take it a notch further and add it to bread from The Rustik Oven. Have you tried this before?! SOOOO good! Made with simple, real ingredients, The Rustik Oven’s artisan bread is fermented for at least 14 hours and slow baked to deliver a rich flavor and crusty texture for that hand crafted taste. And let me just tell you, that crunchy, golden crust is to die for.
Perfect Holiday Appetizer Recipe
What makes this recipe so great for holiday parties is the short ingredient list and how simple it is to throw it all together! (Even if you’re on a time crunch an hour before a party starts!) ;) Plus, I can’t get over how amazing this bread is paired with the brie cheese. Seriously SO good! The ingredients you will need for these tasty crostinis are: butter, brown sugar, walnuts, brie, The Rustik Oven Sourdough bread, pomegranate seeds and rosemary. That’s seriously all it takes you guys!
How to Make Pomegranate Brie Walnut Crostinis
The how-to part of this recipe is just as simple as gathering all of the ingredients. To start, slice your The Rustik Oven bread in halves. Next, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in a saucepan on medium heat. Add your walnuts to this mixture and stir for a few minutes while they cook. Remove the walnuts from the heat and set them aside while you assemble, my favorite part, the melty, gooey cheese! ;) Take the rinds off of the brie rounds, and melt the rounds in a microwave safe bowl until melted! Then spoon each bread half with the melted brie cheese. So easy! Next, add the candied walnuts on top and drizzle each crostini with honey. Top with a few pomegranate seeds and garnish with rosemary to create the perfect holiday appetizer!
Easy Appetizer Recipe
I can’t tell you enough how simple this recipe is, especially using the new bread from The Rustik Oven! It totally took our appetizer game to the next level over here! ;) I would love to hear if you guys use this recipe for one of your upcoming holiday parties.
