Bring leprechaun magic to your celebration by making a St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Bucket gift basket! It’s a St. Patrick’s Day traditionโ€”a personalized green cauldron filled with green-themed festive treats for children. It’s so fun!

Favorite St. Patrick’s Day Tradition

Lucky Buckets are one of my absolute favorite Saint Patrickโ€™s Day traditions! I discovered the idea on Pinterest years ago when Charlie was only a few years old, and it’s become one of our all-time favorite Saint Patrickโ€™s Day ideas. It’s hard to believe it’s already been 6 years since I shared our St Patrick’s Day party with our Lucky Buckets. PS. See that Starbucks in the photo below? That was my Mom Tax! ;)

Holiday Themed Gift Baskets

But let me tell you, making holiday-themed gift baskets is one of my favorite ways to celebrate! I not only make the kids a holiday-themed gift basket for St. Patrickโ€™s Day, but the tradition has even sprinkled into other holidays like Valentine’s Day and Halloween. But Christmas has stockings, and Easter has baskets, so I’ll stay in my lane! I’m even considering a 4th of July bucket this year!

What is a Lucky Bucket?

A Lucky Bucket is more than just a gift; it’s a cherished St Patrickโ€™s Day tradition.

It’s a green cauldron filled with green, rainbow, and even gold goodies. When my kids were younger, they believed a leprechaun was responsible (wink, wink, Mom!). As they grew, they realized the holiday magic was meโ€”a momโ€™s love language.

I used a gold paint pen to write their names and filled the buckets with all sorts of green treats. I did this about 6 years ago and the gold paint pens are still going strong!

Personalize your Lucky Bucket

I love adding green Easter grass for an extra festive touch. You can also personalize your St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Bucket with green gingham, rainbow, or gold ribbon, or even cute printables.
