I love the summertime. Seriously, it’s one of my favorite times of year! The summer is always jam-packed with activities, and I love being able to spend every day with the kids. It makes me so happy! Having something that is not only easy to make, but doesn’t take long to assemble is key, and I’m so excited to share this recipe with you!

One of my favorite summer treats is strawberry shortcake! It’s a summer staple in my family, so every year I have to make some! But if you’re like me, sometimes there’s not a lot of time to make an extravagant dessert. That’s why half-way homemade desserts are my favorite, and I love to find ways to switch up the traditional recipe just a bit! I decided to switch up the traditional recipe and make strawberry shortcake donuts instead. This recipe is perfect for a quick treat, and the kids can help assemble it as well! A total win-win in my book!

How to Make Strawberry Shortcake
First, cut the donut in half like a bagel. Next cut up strawberries and put the slices on one half of the donut. Add whipped cream on top of the strawberries, and top this with the second half of the donut like a sandwich. That’s it!
