Easiest (and Cutest!) Easter Treat!

I’ve made a lot of Easter dessert recipes over the years, but these bunny pretzel bites are a real keeper! They’re not only SO easy to make, making them perfect for easy recipes for kids, but they are soooo cute!

Why It’s Called Pretzel Bites

And they don’t call them pretzel bites for nothing! You just pop one in your mouth, which means it’s a less messy handheld treat that is perfect for parties.

Whether you’re making this Easter dessert for a party or just looking for easy recipes for kids, these Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites are IT! They’re one of the cutest, easiest Easter desserts around.

Just Call Me a Pretzel Bites Pro!

I have made so many mini pretzel bites over the years. From Easter Chick Pretzels, Spring Flower PretzelsShamrock Pretzel PopsValentine’s Flower Pretzels4th of July Flag Pretzels, and back-to-school apple pretzels, I’ve been around the block.

And because I have made so many mini pretzel desserts, I know exactly how long to bake them in my oven and how quickly to remove them. I have ALL the tips!

You have to add the M&M’s fast because the warm candy melts will harden quickly. I honestly don’t mind the rush because it kicks my tail (or should I say bunny tail J/K) into gear to start assembling my M&M’s quickly.

Yup, I said it! 😉 Instead of struggling with the viral Easter bunny M&M cookies, try these Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites! Trust me, I even tried making those cookies myself, and the ears just don’t stick well in the dough, and the cookie dough is SO hot the M&M’s melt.

I posted my fail video on Instagram, and a lot of my followers said they were on the struggle bus too!

These bunny pretzel bites are the opposite! The candy melts act like the perfect “glue,” securely holding the M&Ms in place on the mini pretzels.

Seriously, this is one of the easiest easter desserts you’ll ever make – so easy, you’ll be saying, “this is almost TOO easy!”

How to Make Bunny Pretzel Bites

Simply top mini butter snap pretzels with candy melts, give them a quick bake to soften, and then arrange three pastel M&Ms into bunny shapes: one lying flat for the face and two on their side for the ears. Honestly… the hardest part about making these pretzel bites is NOT sneaking all the M&M’s because they’re just that good!

What Candy Melts do you use?

These Wilton Melting Chocolate White Candy Melts are my go-to, and they come in different colors! I use them for ALL my pretzel desserts that call for candy melts!

Perfect for Any Spring Occasion

These M&M Easter bunny pretzel bites are a guaranteed hit and an easy dessert recipe idea for Spring Desserts, Easter Treats, Kid-Friendly Baking Fun, and Classroom Parties.

Storage for Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites

Keep your mini Easter bunny pretzel bites fresh by storing them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a few days.

For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag and thaw at room temperature before serving. These pretzel bites are also great to make ahead.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Butter Snap Pretzels
  • 10 oz Pastel Blend M&M's
  • 12 oz white candy melts

Instructions

  • Preheat: Preheat the oven to 225°F.
  • Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread pretzel snaps in even rows on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Plan Your Bunies: Divide the M&M's by color.
  • Place a candy melt on each pretzel snap.
A baking sheet lined with parchment paper holds an orderly grid of square pretzels, each topped with a caramel and a small round of white chocolate. A hand is placing the last chocolate round onto a pretzel at the bottom right corner.
  • Bake in the oven for 3 minutes, or until the candy melts soften and begin to melt.
  • Create Bunny Shapes: Remove the pretzels from the oven. Working quickly, press the M&M's into the softened candy melts, starting from the center and adding 2 M&M's on their side to create bunny shapes. The candy melts will begin to harden, so work efficiently.

  • Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator or freezer for 5 minutes to allow the candy melts to set completely.
  • Serve: Serve and enjoy your Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites

Notes

Before melting the candy melts, arrange your pastel M&M’s in color coded piles. This will help you work quickly once the candy melts are warm and softened, as you’ll have a limited time to press the M&M’s into the melted chocolate before it hardens.

I dont think candy melts taste good do you have a suggestion for a way to use white chocolate ?

    1. Melissa Johnson says:

You’re right, white chocolate does taste even better than candy melts. But you would be surprised, candy melts taste good too! I recently saw some flavored candy melts at Walmart— like fun flavors like banana, marshmallows, etc. You can always melt it and place it in a piping bag and immediately pipe on each pretzel. Because it will harden quickly, you will want to quickly add your M&M’s on top. In the spirit of being an easier dessert, I would still vote for team candy melts!
