This easy dill pickle dip recipe is creamy, packed with flavor, and inspired by the viral TikTok Grillo’s pickle dip everyone is making these days! I skipped the bacon, shallot, and jalapeños to make a simpler, less spicy version, and my whole family loved it!

My take on the viral pickle dip… and boy did it disappear FAST

This dill pickle dip recipe is one of my favorites to make when I need a quick, easy appetizer for a party.
We are obsessed with this pickle dip! It’s creamy, tangy, and has the perfect burst of flavor… that is, if you give all those flavors time to come together (at least 6 hours!)
Between the kids and my husband, this pickle dip disappeared FAST. I mean, we do love pickle-flavored anything over here, like truly anything and everything… and I promise I am NOT even pregnant! LOL!
This creamy dill pickle dip is my take on the famous viral TikTok Grillo’s pickle dip. I skipped the bacon and jalapeños to make an easier, non-spicy version that’s perfect for sharing at a party!
My version of the Grillo’s pickle dip is creamy, packed with flavor, and seriously one of the easiest appetizers you can throw together.

Pardon me… My mouth is full of food… but you literally serve it straight in the Grillo’s pickle chip container!
I like to serve this pickle dip with baby carrots and kettle potato chips *crunch*, as they pair so well. That salty crunch with the creamy, tangy pickle dip is a 10 out of 10.
There are lots of other dipping options too, which I’ve included a little further down in this post.
If you make this pickle dip recipe, let me know what you dipped in it!
What is the Grillo’s Pickle Dip that is Viral on TikTok?
If you’ve been on TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen the viral Grillo’s pickle dip popping up everywhere on your FYP! It’s one of those TikTok recipes that people can’t stop making, and I totally understand why!
The original version includes everything in my recipe, plus:
- ¾ cup crumbled bacon
- 1 small shallot, diced
- jalapeño or chipotle hot sauce for heat
I left those ingredients out to create a no bacon, not spicy version that is more family-friendly but still full of flavor.
Why You’ll Love This Dill Pickle Dip
It’s an easy appetizer you can make in minutes

If you’re looking for a quick easy appetizer or something fun for gatherings or potlucks, this dill pickle dip is it.
Let the Pickle Dip Sit (Trust Me)
Okay, this part is important.
When I first tasted the pickle dip right after mixing everything together, I honestly thought, “I don’t know if the pickle flavor is strong enough.”
But then…
After 2 hours, the dill pickle flavor got noticeably stronger.
Around 5 hours, it was amazing.
But around 6 hours, it had the most perfect dill pickle flavor of all!
Even the next day, it was still so good.
And that is, honestly, as far as I can report, because after that it was completely gone.
So if you are making this for a party appetizer, I would absolutely recommend making it ahead of time and letting it sit. The flavor just keeps getting better.
Ingredients to make Grillo’s Viral Pickle Dip
Ingredients
- Two 16 oz containers Grillo’s Pickle Chips
- 1½ cups nonfat Greek yogurt
- 8 oz whipped cream cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- ¾ cup shredded cheese, I used colby jack
- 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning
Optional Mix-Ins from the Original Viral Grillo’s Pickle Dip
The three ingredients below come from the original Grillo’s pickle dip.
I chose to leave them out to keep my version a little simpler and less spicy, but I wanted to share them here so you can clearly see the difference between my Pickle Dip recipe and the original Grillos Pickle Dip recipe.
1 jalapeño, diced
¾ cup crumbled bacon
1 small shallot, diced
How to Make Pickle Dip
Okay, this is one of those recipes that is almost too easy.
Just drain your pickles and chop them up into small pieces. Then add them to a big bowl with the Greek yogurt, whipped cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning, shredded cheese, and fresh dill.
Mix everything together until it’s nice and creamy.
It almost tastes like a creamy dill pickle ranch dip thanks to the ranch seasoning.
Add your pickle dip right back into the Grillo’s pickle container. It’s part of what makes this recipe go viral on TikTok, and it looks so fun to serve at parties. Everyone instantly knows what it is.
You can totally eat it right away, but I will tell you, it gets so much better if you let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. That tangy pickle flavor we all love really comes through more over time.
Once it’s chilled, give it a quick stir and serve with chips or veggies.
That’s it. So easy.
