DIY Nursery Floral Garland

This post is sponsored by P&G, but all opinions are my own.

I’ve been meaning to update you guys with a progress report on Claire’s nursery as we’ve been up to our ears in DIY projects since our move. For those who might be wondering, my DIY Diaper Storage Box is still going strong! ;) I am still so excited about how functional this turned out to be! The DIY projects you can make straight from a diaper box are incredible!

I still have so much work to do while switching Claire’s room from a nursery to a “big girl’s room.”  She turns 2 in November, so it’s definitely time. I am dreaming of pastel patterned wallpaper, a mirror, and the list goes on! ;) In the meantime, I’ve felt so inspired to DIY some fun details for the space – because it’s ALL about the details, right?! I’ve seen a couple nursery reveals with the cutest floral garlands! I’ve been wanting to make Claire one for the longest time…so I figured, better late than never! ;)

I can hardly believe how quickly time is flying. It feels like yesterday that I was registering for everything under the sun at Target. So much fun!

Are you expecting? As your friend, I must let you in on a little secret! The Target Registry and the Pampers Auto-fill option is where it’s at. If you get easily overwhelmed like I do, rest assured, Target’ Baby Registry is where it’s at!

Here’s the low down on why I’ve been obsessed for years and used it for both Charlie and Claire!! Target offers a 15% completion discount on orders purchased through their registry (or a 20% discount for REDcard members). It’s seriously the best! They stand by their price match option. Oh, and they hook you up with a free Welcome Kit ($50 worth of coupons and handpicked samples). This is so cool because there are so many awesome brands you will discover when you go through your coupons. Target also helps by adding a few baby essentials that you might skip registering for because you might not think they are as glamorous as all the other fun things, but trust me, you need these things! Essentials like diapers, baby wash, lotion. Did I mention how many diapers you’re going to need? Get ready mommas! Add a bunch of boxes in a variety of sizes so you’re prepared and no more frantic, last minute trips to the store.

As I am soaking up the last few months of having a 1-year-old, I am cherishing every moment. Andy and I still toy around with the idea of planning to have a third child, but then again, we could be all done at two. Can we just bottle up the baby smell and keep them young forever?

Passing the microphone back to you!! Who recently designed a space for their little one? What is your all-time favorite decor piece that you either made or incorporated into the space? I can’t wait to hear all about it!
