Charlie and Claire seriously flipped when I pulled these out of the oven, and they just keep asking or them more and more. Do you think your kids will love them too? They only take three ingredients to make, and they’re ready in a matter of minutes – perfect for a Halloween themed snack or a fun addition to any party! If you’re house is anything like mine, it is getting super crazy counting down the days to Halloween. Charlie and Claire are SO excited to wear their costumes again and go trick-or-treating! It is easy to get lost in the holiday fun, because we are in the best season. ;) I knew we needed a slow down moment this weekend, and that is when I decided to make these Jack O’ Lantern Yam Fries. They only have three ingredients, crazy right?! But seriously, Charlie and Claire are obsessed with them currently. They both keep asking me to make them again, so looks like I’m going to be busting out the pumpkin Halloween cookie cutter again this week!
Jack O’ Lanterns
All you need for these Jack O’ Lantern Yam Fries are yams, olive oil, salt, and a jack o’ lantern cookie cutter. That’s it! Now you have a healthy, spooky, and fun snack!
Healthy Halloween Snacks
First, slice the yams into thin slices, and then bust out the jack o’ lantern cookie cutter. Cut the yam slices into pumpkin shapes, and put them on a baking sheet. Brush the pumpkin shapes with olive oil on each side, and sprinkle salt on top of each. Bake the pumpkins for 25 minutes at 425 degrees, and they are all ready to be served!
