It’s always fun celebrating those big moments in your life – birthdays, new jobs, engagements! Well, we are thrilled here at Best Friends for Frosting as Melissa has some very BIG news of her own! Read on to hear what she’ll be celebrating all year long…

“At first, I thought I swallowed a watermelon seed and it began to grow in my stomach. Just kidding! I don’t know about you, but I personally prefer my watermelons seedless.  But honestly, that’s sort of what pregnancy looks like.  Except what is growing inside is a gazillion times better and more rewarding than a watermelon… a BABY!

When Andy and I (finally) found out that I was pregnant with Baby Johnson #2, I could not contain my excitement; to be quite honest, the constant excitement has not stopped to this day.

For the past two years, I’ve felt an uncontrollable void in our family – like there is supposed to be another person sitting in that extra spot at the dinner table, playing with Charlie, cuddling with us in bed… the list goes on!

This past year has taught me “Baby Fever” is definitely a real thing.  Seeing pregnant women and new moms pushing babies in strollers made me feel an even deeper void.  I could not stop thinking about getting pregnant and all I wanted was to become a family of four!

Fast forwarding to 2015, I am thrilled to write that I am officially five months pregnant and I literally found out this week that we are having a… GIRL!!!! Pinch me?!

Rest assured, I am keeping busy. We are in the process of picking out names (I LOVE old fashioned names), planning the nursery reveal and my fall baby shower.  There are so many things to celebrate as we patiently anticipate her arrival!  I can’t wait to share all the fun and exciting milestones with you as they unfold. Follow along with me on my personal Instagram @MelissaxxJohnson + @BestFriendsForFrosting as I share these personal and precious moments.”
