Make this EASY Leprechaun Bait recipe for St. Patrick’s Day! This Leprechaun Bait includes Lucky Charms and Popcorn, which is the perfect salty and sweet combination!

Easy Popcorn Dessert

You know how much I LOVE salty and sweet! This St. Patrick’s Day Popcorn, AKA “Leprechaun Bait,”  is the ideal mixture because the saltiness from the popcorn mixes well with the butter and marshmallows. This Leprechaun Bait is SO easy to throw together in minutes – perfect for a party, a movie night at home, or even paired with a Shamrock Shake. ;)

Plus, it’s so easy the kids can help me make this easy Saint Patrick’s Day dessert in no time!

Only a Few Ingredients

This Leprechaun Bait recipe is super easy to make and only involves a few ingredients! First, pop the popcorn in the microwave.

Mix the marshmallows in the melted butter and microwave them for 30 seconds or until it is melted and stir.

Add butter + marshmallow mixture to your popcorn to make this super easy leprechaun bait… wait, but there’s one more step!

Turning Popcorn into a Dessert

Pour the popcorn into a baking dish and pour ¾ of the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn.

It wouldn’t be a SUCCESSFUL leprechaun trap without Lucky Charms… making it the ultimate Leprechaun Bait recipe! ;)

Drizzle and Sprinkle

Next, drizzle the remaining marshmallow mixture over the popcorn. Sprinkle the M&M’s, Lucky Charms marshmallows, and green sprinkles over the popcorn, then mix. Place the popcorn into a bowl and place the bowl into the freezer or refrigerator to cool for 20 minutes. Add more M&M’s on top if you’d like. Then the Leprechaun Bait is ready to serve!

Popcorn Desserts are SO fun!

St. Patrick’s Day is full of happiness, luck, and delicious foods. I love popcorn and always try to make a fun mix with it for all of the holidays. If you’re a popcorn lover, this leprechaun bait dessert is definitely for you too! PS. For an extra festive touch, display your St Patrick’s dessert in a green cauldron like the one from my video below. And if you get that green cauldron, you will probably want to start my Lucky Buckets Saint Patrick’s Day tradition!

Hi! Quick question, does this stay good for a while after it’s made, or does it need to be eaten within a day or so? Thanks!
