Looking for an easy Halloween snack that’s almost too cute to eat? These Halloween Spider Crackers come together with just three simple ingredients and take about 10 minutes to make. They’re perfect for Halloween parties, classroom treats, after-school snacks, or a fun family movie night.
If you’re looking for a simple way to make Halloween feel a little more special, this is one of those recipes that’s guaranteed to make everyone smile.

The Kind of Recipe Kids Actually Remember

I keep coming back to recipes like these because they’re exactly the kind of Halloween memories I want to create with my family. They’re simple, they’re fun, and everyone can help make them.
I have a long history with making easy spider treats for Halloween like this no-bake spider web cheesecake, giant spider web cookie, and these no-bake spider cookies you can literally just make with grocery store cookies.
I’ve learned that the recipes my kids remember most usually aren’t the complicated ones. They’re the ones we laughed through together around the kitchen counter. Every little spider ends up looking different, and somehow that always makes them even more fun.
If Halloween has started to feel like another thing on your to-do list, let this be your reminder that it doesn’t have to be. One easy recipe. One movie night. One happy memory. Sometimes that’s all it takes to make the season feel special.
I hope these little spider crackers bring as many smiles to your family as they have to mine.
Melissa’s Tip
Slice all of your olives before you start assembling the spiders. It makes everything go much faster, especially if little helpers are making their own.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! You can make them a few hours ahead and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. They’re best enjoyed the same day so the crackers stay crisp.
Absolutely! Once an adult slices the olives, kids can have fun assembling their own spider crackers.
I love using Ritz crackers because they’re buttery and sturdy, but any similar round cracker works well.
How to Make these Halloween Snacks
Halloween Spider Crackers

Ingredients
- 12 buttery round crackers , (such as Ritz)
- 8 oz Whipped cream cheese
- 12 oz Can of Black olives
Instructions
- Place a small scoop of whipped cream cheese in the center of a cracker.
- Slice black olives in half to make the spider bodies, and place a single olive on top of the cream cheese.
- Thinly slice olives and then cut each slice in half for the legs.
- Place 3 legs on each side of the spider’s body and serve.
Notes
- Use whipped cream cheese for the easiest assembly. It spreads smoothly and helps hold the olive spiders in place.
- Pat the olives dry with a paper towel before assembling to prevent excess moisture from making the crackers soggy.
- Serve soon after assembling for the best texture. If making ahead, prepare the olive pieces in advance and assemble just before serving.

I recommend 4 olive slice legs on either side for a total of 8, since they are spiders. :)
I totally agree with you on this. It only took me too many years to figure this out, LOL!
