Summer S’mores Recipe

Spending all day outside is the best perk of summertime. Who’s with me?! I love being able to sit out and enjoy the sunshine while the kids play in the backyard. And while I absolutely summer days, summer nights just might be my new favorite now that we’ve been having s’mores nights during the week! ;) This has become a new tradition for us this summer, but I decided to switch up the typical recipe, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

Plates with graham crackers, marshmallows in a bowl, and Reeses peanut butter cups are displayed alongside wooden skewers. Smores with peanut butter cups are assembled on a plate.

Summer Backyard Ideas

I am a SUPER huge fan of s’mores! Making s’mores is such a fun summertime activity, and is a huge staple of my childhood. I remember making s’mores with my entire family, and those memories always make me smile! That’s why I decided to do a creative twist on the recipe and add some Reese’s! These Reese’s S’mores are easy to make, and totally elevate the all-time favorite summer snack. Seriously, life-changing!

A table displays ingredients for smores: a plate of graham crackers, a bowl of marshmallows, several skewers, and a pile of wrapped Reeses peanut butter cups on a white surface.

S’mores Ingredients

All you need for these s’mores are marshmallows, graham crackers, Reese’s, and marshmallow roasting sticks. This is such an easy recipe to make in the backyard with the kids!

How to Make S’mores

First, get your graham crackers ready with a whole Reese’s cup on top. Then, have your kids put a marshmallow on the roasting sticks and roast the marshmallows, with your help. When the marshmallows become how you liked them cooked (I love them golden brown!), put the marshmallow on top of the Reese’s on the graham cracker. Push the crackers down slightly to make a sandwich.

Summer Celebration

No summer night is complete without Reese’s S’mores! They are easy to make and such an elevated way to create the nostalgic snack! The kids absolutely LOVE these, and I’ll admit, I definitely made more than one for myself. ;) What kind of s’mores do you love? Do you use any variations to the traditional recipe? I’d love to hear your recipe in the comments below!
