Ready to make candy apples a little more fun? These candy apples are such a cute twist on the classic Halloween treat, with a pretty white chocolate coating that’s easy to customize with your favorite colors and toppings!

My Favorite Twist on Candy Apples

These candy apples turned out SO cute! 💕 I love the combination of the crisp, tart Granny Smith apples with the sweet, white chocolate coating. That little crunch with the sweetness is SO good, and the pretty color makes them feel extra festive.
When I first created this recipe, I tried making traditional-style candy apples, but they were SO hard to bite into. I knew I had to change things up, so I switched to white chocolate coating instead. It gives you that sweet coating without losing the fresh crunch of the apple.

I made these candy apples pink, but you can have SO much fun with making them different colors too! Blue, teal, purple, gold…the sky is the limit.
You can also add fun toppings like chocolate chips, crushed nuts, or sprinkles (my fave) while the coating is still soft for a little extra texture
One little tip I wouldn’t skip: use oil-based food coloring. Other food colorings can change the consistency of the white chocolate.
These would be so cute for Halloween! 🎃 Especially if you want something a little different from traditional candy apples.
And if you’re making more fall treats, my pumpkin-shaped cinnamon rolls would be fun to add, too!
PINK CANDY APPLE RECIPE

Equipment
- Skewers
- Wax Paper
Ingredients
- 6 Granny Smith Apples
- 24 oz White Chocolate Candy Coating or white chocolate almond bark squares
- 1-2 teaspoons of oil based coloring in your desired color, Note: Oil based does not change the consistency of white chocolate as other colors will change it
Instructions
- Melt chocolate by using your stove or microwave. Make sure chocolate is fully melted.
- Add desired colors to melted chocolate.
- Tilting the pot, roll skewered apples in melted white chocolate until it’s fully covered. I like to use a spoon to help make sure the apples are fully covered.
- After you coat your apple, slide the apple on the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
- Place on baking sheet that is covered in wax paper.
Notes
- Make sure your apples are nice and dry before dipping so the coating sticks well.
- If the coating starts to thicken while you’re dipping, warm it gently until it’s smooth again.
- Give the apples plenty of time to set before serving so the coating stays nice and pretty.

Where do you find the colors for the apples.
Walmart =)
DO YOU NEED TO REMOVE WAX OFF APPLES WHEN DOING CHOCOLATE
I am not sure. I have never tried making them this way.
