Sheet pan pancakes are so easy to make, perfect for feeding a crowd or even for meal prepping. Instead of standing over a hot griddle flipping individual pancakes, you can bake a whole batch at once in the oven. With just a few minutes of prep time using your favorite pancake mix and toppings, you’ll have this crowd-pleasing breakfast ready in no time!

Sheet Pan Pancakes are such an easy breakfast option!

Pancakes have always been one of my favorite traditions, from growing up with my mom making them for breakfast, to making them for my kids now. But let’s face it, sometimes there just isn’t time to make individual pancakes. Sheet pan pancakes are the ultimate solution! Whether you’re making these for busy mornings, holidays, or a slumber party breakfast, they’ll be ready in minutes.

Best Pancake Mix

I love to turn to Krusteaz pancake mix for this recipe. You know the one! That blue box has been a familiar favorite ever since I was a kid. Every time I saw my mom pull the box out of the pantry, I knew it was a pancake breakfast kind of morning! The mix is always consistent, and I can count on it to have no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

I know some may think the word “hack” is overused (thanks, TikTok!), but these sheet pan pancakes are a total breakfast game-changer everyone needs to know! I first posted this recipe on TikTok, and it went absolutely viral, racking up millions of views. It became so popular that I even included it in my new cookbook, Celebrating Every Day!—which was totally appropriate because the book is filled with 100 easy recipes.

Sheet Pan Pancake Ingredients

I used blueberries, strawberries, and Nutella for this batch, but your options are endless. You can make this recipe without any toppings or choose your own, including M&Ms or colorful sprinkles. These sheet pan pancakes are like a blank canvas, and you can customize them for any theme, holiday, or even just for everyday!

  • 1 box Krusteaz Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • Nutella

How to make Sheet Pan Pancakes from Mix

Making sheet pan pancakes from a mix is super easy! I always use Krusteaz (I even swear by them in my new cookbook—it’s the best pancake mix ever!). Follow the instructions on your pancake mix box for mixing the batter. Usually, this involves combining the mix with water until there are no large lumps. Don’t overmix! A few small lumps are okay.

Step 1: Ready to start prepping breakfast? First up, preheat your oven to 425 degrees and grease a sheet pan. Then prep the pancake batter according to the directions on the box. You’ll want to make enough pancake batter to fill your sheet pan a quarter or halfway full. How deep the pancake batter is will determine how thick the pancakes are.

Step 2: With the sheet pan greased and the pancake batter ready, it’s time to pour! Pour the entire bowl of prepared batter into the sheet pan.

Expert tip: Use a spatula to spread the pancake batter if needed to be sure it’s distributed evenly.

Step 3: Next up comes the fruit! Arrange sliced strawberries and blueberries on top of the pancake batter.

Expert tip: Not a fan of blueberries? Feel free to leave them out. Raspberries or blackberries would be great as well!

Step 4: With your sheet pan prepared, it’s time to put it in the oven. Bake the pancakes for 15 minutes until lightly golden.

Step 5: Once baked, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Cut the sheet pan pancakes into squares and serve them with Nutella on top, along with additional strawberries and blueberries.

Tips for making Sheet Pan Pancakes with Pancake Mix

  • Don’t overmix the pancake batter: This is crucial! Overmixing will make tough pancakes. Mix just until the wet and dry ingredients are combined, even if there are a few small lumps it’s totally fine.
  • Follow the box instructions: Make sure to follow the instructions on the back of your pancake box. Pay attention to the ratios of mix to water (or milk, if you prefer).

Serving Sheet Pancakes

There are so many fun ways to serve sheet pan pancakes! You can literally make it a party—or even serve them at a birthday party, baby shower, or holiday brunch!

Go bar-style and set up a toppings bar so everyone can customize their own pancake slice. Think of it like a pancake sundae bar! Offer the usual classics like maple syrup, butter, whipped cream, fresh berries, and even chocolate chips. I’ve tried it with all of these toppings, and you truly can’t go wrong.

How to store leftover Sheet Pan Pancakes

  • Make sure your sheet pancakes cool completely on  the baking sheet before cutting and storing them. This prevents them from becoming soggy.
  • Store properly: Store leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a few days or in the freezer for longer storage.
  • Reheat gently: Reheat pancakes in the microwave, oven, or toaster oven until warmed through. And enjoy!
