Let’s be honest—cheeseburgers are always a good idea, but sometimes you don’t want to fire up the grill or shape a bunch of patties by hand. That’s where these Muffin Tin Cheeseburger Sliders come in. They’re juicy, cheesy, and baked in the oven for an easy dinner that everyone will devour.

Mini cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, and melted cheddar on small buns are arranged on a metal tray. A person wearing a green patterned shirt is visible in the background.

These easy baked sliders are perfect for busy weeknights, game day, birthday parties, or anytime you’re feeding a crowd (without breaking a sweat). Plus, you only need a few simple ingredients and about 10 minutes of prep. We’re talking big cheeseburger flavor in a fun mini size—yes please!

Why You’ll Love These Muffin Tin Sliders

  • Family-friendly and picky-eater approved
  • Baked, not grilled—no flipping required!
  • Great for parties, meal prep, or casual dinners
  • Takes less than an hour from start to finish
A wooden board holds ground beef, sliced red onions, mayonnaise, and cheese slices. Nearby are sliced tomatoes and spinach, a muffin tin, ketchup, pepper, and partially visible sandwich buns on a baking sheet.

What You’ll Need

Here’s a quick rundown of the ingredients, plus a few tips to make these sliders even better:

  • Ground beef – I like using 80/20 for juicy patties, but use what you prefer.
  • Beef bouillon powder – A little goes a long way for flavor. It adds that “burger joint” taste without a bunch of extra seasoning.
  • Red onion – Chopped and sprinkled on top for a little crunch and sweetness.
  • Cheddar cheese slices – I go with classic cheddar, but American, Swiss, or pepper jack work too.
  • Dinner rolls – Sister Schubert’s yeast rolls are my go-to. They’re buttery, soft, and bake up golden. Use any slider rolls you like.
  • Butter – Brushing the rolls before baking adds flavor and helps them brown.
  • Mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato – Classic burger toppings, but feel free to switch it up with pickles, mustard, or your favorite sauces.

How to Make Muffin Tin Sliders

Step 1: Bake the rolls

Start by brushing the tops of your rolls with melted butter. Bake them according to the package directions and set aside while you prep the patties.

Step 2: Shape and season the beef

Roll the ground beef into 10 equal balls. Place each ball into a greased muffin tin well and press it down to form a patty. Use your thumb to press a little indent in the center of each one—this helps them cook evenly. Sprinkle each patty with beef bouillon powder and a bit of chopped onion.

Step 3: Bake the patties

Pop the muffin tin into a 350°F oven and bake for 25 minutes. The patties will shrink a bit and release some fat—that’s normal!

Step 4: Add the cheese

Once the patties are cooked through, top each one with a slice of cheddar cheese and return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, just until the cheese is nice and melty.

Step 5: Assemble your sliders

Spoon out the patties (a spoon works best to catch the edges), and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up any extra grease. Then stack them onto your toasted rolls with your favorite toppings.

Tips & Variations

  • Make-ahead friendly: You can bake the patties ahead of time and reheat them in the oven before adding cheese.
  • Switch up the toppings: Try barbecue sauce, sautéed mushrooms, or spicy mayo.
  • Add bacon: Because everything’s better with bacon. Just tuck a small strip into each slider.
  • Feeding a crowd? Double the recipe and use two muffin tins.

What to Serve with Sliders

Keep it simple with:

  • French fries or tater tots
  • Pickles or coleslaw
  • A big green salad or fruit salad
  • Sweet potato fries or onion rings

These muffin tin cheeseburger sliders are a fun, easy twist on classic burgers. Whether you’re hosting a party, making dinner for your family, or just want something new, these easy baked sliders are always a hit.
